The Mercy Project
Mercy's Vessel
**UPDATE**   The welders are working this week
on welding new steel into place.
We have contracted the firm of Swenson and Sons LLC
from New Jersey to do the work. Once the hull is repaired,
Mercy's Vessel will be able to go back in the water
 and begin sea trials!

The primary area of ministry would be from the Gulf Coast of the USA to the Islands of the South Caribbean.
Mercy's vessel is currently dry docked and  being refitted at Yank Marine in Tuckahoe, NJ. The vessel is 110 feet by 25 feet.  Once it is completely refitted it will house a fully equipped clinic and pharmacy for our medical teams; dorms for sixteen intern workers, cabins for eight crew and staff as well as a galley and dining area. This ship will make it possible for us to reach thousands of lives with the hope and help of the gospel each year and give opportunity for over sixty workers to take part in short term missions.
Evangelistic Teams:
Carrying a team of as many as twenty workers traveling to two or three ports of call in each trip the team could work in up to seven weeks of ministry. This would greatly improve our ability to assist each missionary and give the workers a much broader view of missions. The life changing experience for both the workers and the people they work with would enrich the cause of Christ in an immeasurable way.
Our primary areas of work would be Vacation Bible Schools, Evangelistic Meetings, Bible and Bible Tract distribution, street preaching and house-to-house visitation. The doors are open wide for souls to be saved in the third world and by God’s guidance we can have an impact for the gospel in our generation.
Medical Teams:
The ship will be equipped with a medical clinic facility that would accommodate two doctors and a small pharmacy. The opportunity to provide free medical care on the mission field has opened more doors than any of us ever imagined. Churches and Children’s homes have been blessed and communities have opened up to the gospel after our medical teams have spent a few days working among the poor and needy. Having a shipboard facility will enable us to provide a clean, well-stocked clinic wherever we are working.
Touching lives through medical aid with our doctors and nurses has been one of the highlights of the outreach of Mobilization Ministries over the last few years. Expanding and improving this area of gospel outreach is a great part of our vision for the ship and the future of our work.
